Interclub TT with Andover Wheelers
Despite the British Summer impacting our previous time-trials this one managed to go ahead. A great turn-out by both clubs with some excellent times on a humid, muggy evening. The weather is perfect for Glastonbury but not for time-trialling.
Well done to Phil Watts (NHRC) first man home, followed by Sam Allen (PedalOn) in second and Edd Charlton-Weedy (Andover Wheelers) third. Congratulations to Tracy Cornell (NHRC) first woman home followed by Alison Jennings (Andover Wheelers) and Lizzy Yates (Andover Wheelers) in second and third respectively. Many thanks and congratulations to Andover Wheelers for an excellent display and they take a 4 min 27 sec lead into the second leg of the inter club event.
Thank-you go to the volunteers of the evening that made this event possible and I’m sure all 27 riders pass on their thanks. Maggie, Tom, Trish, Alison, Doug, Peggy, Fiona, Bazza, and also to the driver that collected the riders that punctured. The volunteers helped with sign-on, numbers, start-sheets, sign collection, marshalling, pushing-off, number collection, results and many more tasks that allowed us to compete tonight.
