Hot and Sticky, Road Bike Challenge Part 2
After three consecutive wet Time Trial evenings we were gifted with blue skies and the sun. It was a hot, sticky evening with a moderate wind to make the efforts that bit harder. Well done to the 14 riders tonight that took part in the second part of the road hike challenge.
Well done to Phil Watts first man home followed by Luke Walton (East London Velodrome) and James Wooton (C&TI) in third. David Fowler was second NHRC man home with Martin Jeffery third NHRC man home. Congratulations to you all.
Marcel Mavronicholas was fastest on handicap tonight followed by Martin Jeffery in second and Ben Draper in third.
Many thanks go out to Maggie Smith, Tom Ellis, Peggy Hitchcock for organising the start sheets, starting the riders, finish line, results and pushing off. Thanks to John Hodgkins for marshalling at Theale roundabout and to Ben and Michael for taking down the signs tonight
I'm unavailable next week when we resume the TT season with a 10 mile at Aldermaston on 1st June. Maggie Smith had volunteered to be point for this event. Ben and Michael have volunteered to deploy and collect signs. Many thanks.
We shall also meet in the new meet location for the next two club events.
